How to Add Google+ Authorship to Joomla Website

When you search keywords on Google's websites for knowledge you want to know, may be you have seen the picture at beside the title and descriptions:

It is easy to do.

Step 1: Install Plugin

In this tutorial we will use plugin SD Google Authorship, you can view here.  After download, you extract file, it will display 3 files appropiate with 3 Joomla versions are Joomla 1.5, Joomla 2.5, Joomla 3.

You choose plugin and install normally, then go to Extensions > Plugin Manager:

Click enable SD Google Authorship.

Step 2: Config Link to Your Contact

Now you go to Components > Contacts > Contacts.

Choose or add new contact > on Linked User choose Select User > Your account.
then click on Contact Detail > in field Website type your link Google+, example: https://plus.google.com/107629242229762011444  > Save.

Now everytime you post, your post was indexed, it will display your image beside your post's content on results of Google's websites.

Benefit

• When you have Google+ Authorship link to posts you will have verify of your author's post that is not to steal by anyone.
• More trafic: it will be more click on Google's websites.
